Krysten began competitively swimming on the Aquadux swim team at 11 years old and then moved onto the USA Swimming Club team, Bernal's Gator Swim Club for the duration of her swimming career. As a teenager she was a Duxbury High School Individual and Relay record holder (over 20 years), Pilgrim Conference Champion for 5 years, South Sectional League Champion for 5 years, MIAA Top 3 Champion for 5 years, 1997 Top 8 Junior Nationalist and 1998 Junior National 400 Free Relay Champion and finally competed at the US Open level.

As a lifelong swimmer and coach, Krysten's passion is to spread her love of the water and swimming while building strong relationships and character.
